ISNHS 123rd Foundation Anniversary

Ilocos Sur National High School (ISNHS) recently celebrated its 123rd Foundation Anniversary with a grand series of events. The highlight of the celebration was the High School Day parade, where students, teachers, and staff proudly marched to commemorate the school's rich history. This annual event brought together alumni, parents, and community members who came out to support the school’s achievements and its contributions to education in the region.

Founded in 1902 as the Ilocano Normal School, ISNHS was originally established to train primary school teachers. Over the years, it has transformed into one of the most prestigious secondary schools in the area, providing quality education to countless generations of students. The 123rd Foundation Anniversary not only honored its past but also reaffirmed its commitment to shaping future leaders and professionals.

As a student at Ilocos Sur National High School, I had a memorable and exciting experience during the 123rd Foundation Anniversary celebration. From the beginning of the preparations, there was a sense of unity and anticipation as students rehearsed performances, decorated classrooms, and participated in various activities. The High School Day parade was a major highlight, with students marching proudly in their uniforms and carrying banners that reflected their school spirit. For many, this was an opportunity to bond with classmates and feel a deep sense of belonging to our school community.

The field demonstrations were another unforgettable part of the event. Students from different grade levels showcased well-coordinated routines that highlighted their talents and hard work. The cheers and applause from teachers, parents, and fellow students added to the excitement, boosting their confidence and motivation. Many students expressed that these performances helped them develop discipline, teamwork, and stronger connections with their peers. The event also provided a chance for self-expression and creativity, making it a fun and fulfilling experience.
